Description
Say ‘allo to our resident Allosaurus atrox, whose toothy greeting has welcomed visitors to the Museum since 2004. Cast from a specimen unearthed in the Cleveland-Lloyd Quarry in Utah, USA, it arrived at the Museum in 1982 after being donated by the Friends of the South Australian Museum. After 20 years spent lording over the former dinosaurs and megafauna gallery, our 3D design specialist Jo Bain remounted the Allosaurus into its current perch in the front foyer where it’s become a roar-inspiring favourite.
