From her arrival in 1883 as Adelaide Zoo’s first resident elephant, to her imposing presence in the Museum’s Science Centre, Miss Siam knows how to make a big impression. Granted a second life by Museum taxidermists after passing away in 1904 at the ripe old age of 45, this iconic Indian elephant is beloved by generations of South Australians and visitors from far and wide.
