Description
First published in 1974 after 50 years of research and fieldwork by Anthropologist, Norman B Tindale, the ’Tindale Map’ is one of the first maps to show the diversity of Aboriginal language and nation groups across Australia at the time of colonisation. While the map has played a key role in reframing our understanding of this land and its First Peoples, it does not represent contemporary relationships to land.
